May 17th, 2017 – Chicago, IL – Upfront announced today the addition of Ken Paulus and Mike Tudeen to the company’s Board of Directors. Both new board members possess a wealth of experience in a variety of different healthcare settings, making them perfectly suited to lend their expertise and insights in support of the company’s overarching mission to optimize time spent between patient and provider, making visits valuable.
Ken Paulus spent ten years at Allina Health, retiring as the President and CEO of one of the nation’s largest integrated delivery systems. Allina consists of 13 acute care hospitals, over 150 ambulatory care clinics, and more than 1,500 employed physicians. Further, Allina is a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and sponsors AIM – the Allina Integrated Medical Network – with over 3,000 physicians under contract. Prior to his time at Allina Health, Ken served in various C-Level roles with Atrius Health System and Partners Community HealthCare.
Mike Tudeen has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of PopHealthCare, an industry leader who partners with both payers and providers to deliver proven risk adjustment, HEDIS, and high-risk population management programs. Mike has made focusing on value-driven, accountable healthcare his top priority as a way of improving the lives of the underserved. Prior to PopHealthCare, Mike held key leadership positions within Healthways, National Seating & Mobility, INSPIRIS, and Optum.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ken and Mike to Upfront’s Board,” said Ben Albert, CEO and co-Founder. “I am confident that each of them will make their presence felt in short order, contributing impressively to our company and delivering value to our clients.”

About Upfront Healthcare:
Upfront aligns population health and ambulatory care to make every visit valuable. We get it. Navigating the competing demands of value-based contracts, fee for service volume, and patient access is hard. Current approaches are not delivering the financial results or patient and provider satisfaction necessary for business growth.
Upfront welcomes, prepares, and recalls patients for necessary visits, introducing the care team and guiding patients on appropriate resource use. Our services open access, minimize no shows, achieve incentives, and boost patient “keepage” all while reducing provider burnout. We deliver a hard ROI without lengthening the day or shortening the visits.
