Years in healthcare: 9
I’m driven by the desire to spark systemic change in healthcare by removing barriers and increasing access to care. No one should have to choose between their life savings and life-saving treatment. We must do better in the healthcare space. We can do better. I’m here to make sure we make that change.
Em Landon is General Counsel and Privacy Officer at Upfront. She has spent nine years in managed care, pharmacy benefit management, and healthtech, helping drive efficiency, leverage technology, and revolutionize patient care. Across her career, Em’s work is shaped and sharpened by her commitment to sustainable, purpose-driven change.
Prior to joining Upfront, Em practiced civil litigation at Dykema Gossett PLLC. She later served as Policy Director for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, leading statewide efforts to eradicate human trafficking. As Policy Director and General Counsel, Em provided legal counsel to policymakers and negotiated complex public policy disputes between stakeholders, members of the Legislature, NGOs, and governmental entities. In her previous work as General Counsel for Arrive Health and the Texas Senate, Em led federal advocacy strategies, advised on federal and state legislation, and provided strategic responses to new healthcare, privacy, and security regulations. She also serves as a professor at Berkeley Law.
Em holds her Doctor of Law and Master in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University, her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, and has completed her executive education in Advanced Mediation at Harvard Law School.
We’re a healthcare company leveraging technology, not the other way around. Upfront leans on its deep healthcare expertise and client relationships to maximize the impact of our technology, delivering a next-generation patient experience.
